Session in Vienna: Performing for Diverse Audiences

The Musethica Session in Vienna was held from February 2nd to 8th, 2025. Throughout the week, the musicians performed at venues such as Wärmestube Darwingasse, Das Stern, Pflegewohnheim Innerfavoriten, Gärtnerhof GIN, Volkshilfe Wien Hafen and Jugend am Werk, engaging with diverse communities, including people with and without disabilities, homeless individuals, elderly residents, and individuals in need. The intimate and interactive nature of these performances created unique musical encounters, fostering connections and emotional exchanges between the artists and their audiences.

The Kandinsky Quartet, accompanied by tutors Avri Levitan (viola) and Vida Vujic (cello), presented a varied programme featuring works by Johannes Brahms, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Franz Schubert. The musicians refined their interpretations throughout the week, learning from each concert experience and adapting to the different atmospheres and responses of their listeners.

The session concluded with a public concert on February 8th at the Future Art Lab Concert Hall at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. The audience was thrilled by the performance, showing their appreciation with enthusiastic applause.
